Yogi what a horse! He is absolutely stunning and has the wow factor.
Yogi was in the police for 3 years. He had passed all training and completed all duties. The force then decided he needed more, he was too good for the job and his time to enjoy a normal horsey life was here.
The police horses will walk for weeks at a time on duty with no turnout. Some horses are fine with this but it only suits others for so long. He had been a good boy In the police doing the euro’s football matches you name lots of large London events but they felt he would be better in a private home doing activities and getting some turnout.
So we found him that unfortunately this hasn’t worked out due to pregnancy.
Yogi is beautiful on the flat. His schooling is very nice, powerful but not strong, forward thinking but you can put your leg on. Not sharp or sensitive.
He has lovely correct uphill paces.
He hacks very well alone or in company and marches out. Not looked at anything! Guess village traffic isn’t anything when you’ve been hacking round London city recently.
He hadn’t jumped really In the police, they have the odd pop but we took him out schooling this week and started of a bit green but within the session was popping round like he was at home so he would soon take to jumping aswell.
He does have the occasional buck, this was first time we rode him and first time we jumped him. We think this is just excitement towards his new life. There is no mallace, no ears back, he's not trying to get you off just a cheeky buck, therefore would like someone who doesn’t mind if this happens from time to time.
His personality is adorable. He is loving, friendly, easy to handle. You can touch him everywhere, lead him, good to shoe, box and clip. Up to date with everything he has had everything he's needed.
Now just ready for a private home with lots of love and fun and a bit of relax time in the field. Happy to be in also just think it would do him good.
Would dressage and show immediately and after few training /schooling sessions would be ready to go out jumping more. He's a versatile, fun, flashy horse and a good strong stamp without being heavy.
